Ten-year-old Anna Anderson and her sister, Ida, are sent by their mother to America to live with an aunt after the family joins The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1888.
She and Ida, who is going to Idaho to work, become separated at the Ogden train depot. The aunt never received letter explaining the details of the sisters' arrival.
Alone, afraid and unable to speak English, Anna offers a prayer in Swedish. The picture book details the answer that Anna receives.
